Lena Argiri
Lena Argiri is a Washington DC Correspondent for Greek Public TV ERT and National Herald. She is accredited to the IMF and she follows closely the Greek debt crisis, having conducted numerous high profile interviews with economists and policy makers, such as Christine Lagarde. She also covers the White House, the Department of State, the Treasury and Capitol Hill on issues related to her native country by providing comments and articles in Greek and foreign media. Having over fifteen years of experience in journalism, she was an anchorwoman for the Greek Public TV from 2000, covering all the major domestic and foreign events since then. Additionally she presented weekly news shows and was an editor in Greek newspapers such as “Isotimia” and “Ta Nea”. She holds an MA in Mass Communication from the University of Leicester in UK and a degree in English Literature from the University of Michigan. Her bachelor was in the field of Journalism in the School of Professional Journalism in Athens.
