Biography
Nikolas Katsimpras is a DC-based independent conflict analysis and strategy consultant, focusing mostly on the Eastern Mediterranean, MENA, and Gulf politics. Nikolas has been a lecturer at Columbia University’s Negotiation and Conflict Resolution program since 2014.
Nikolas started his career as an officer of the Hellenic Navy, before moving to the private sector in 2008. He is also a contributor at Kathimerini, sharing insights on foreign policy and national security.
Nikolas is also on the board of the Hellenic American Leadership Council, and has received awards by the Atlantic Council, the International Institute for Humanitarian Law, and Columbia University’s Advanced Consortium on Cooperation, Conflict, and Complexity (AC4), which funded his research on the peace negotiations in Burma.
